Can I have a book chapter scanned for me?
Yes -- you can use the Interlibrary Loan form to request a scan of a chapter from a print book in the library's circulating collection. Just include a note in the form that you are reqesting a scan from a book we own.
Note that titles currently held on Course Reserves may NOT be scanned.
We will scan up to two chapters or 20% of a book (whichever is smaller), unless in our judgment this would violate fair use guidelines for copyright compliance. We are not able to digitize entire books.
If you need digital access to more than two chapters of a print book for use in a class, please speak to your professor or, if you are faculty, contact library staff to request that the material be placed on a Leganto reading list.
